Over 40 on Battersea College Roll of Honour

The annual Mass for the repose of the souls of all Old Boys of the Battersea Salesian College and of boys of other Salesian Colleges who were members of the Battersea Association was sung in the College Chapel last Sunday, the celebrant being Very Rev. F. J. McCabe, Rector of the Salesian College. Chertsey.

About 120 Old Boys and parents representing absent sons or husbands almost filled the chapel, and tte servers of the Mass were also Old Boys of Battersea.

It was announced that more than 40 past pupils had already been killed during the war and many more have been reported missing. whilst several others are prisoners in German or Japanese hands.

Parents and relatives are being asked to furnish information concerning Old Boys as soon as possible to the Hon. Secretary of the Association, particularly of any further casualties which have not yet been reported. Mass is said immediately on receipt of the news of the death of every Old Boy and they also share in a monthly Mass said in the College Chapel.
