rr HIS evening (Friday) at 5 p.m. Cardinal Godfrey, Archbishop of Westminster, is holding a reception at Archbishop's House for the Scandinavian and English delegates to the Lay Apostolate Conference being held at WaxweLl Farm House, Pinner, this week-end.
A Finn has now been included in the Scandinavian delegation. Bishop Cobben. S.C.J., of Helsinki, has appointed Miss Britts Wahlstrom, a recent convert. to represent Finland.
Recently the Holy See appointed the first permanent Apostolic Visitor to the Scandinavian countries. He is Arch
bishop Lucas, S.V.D., a former Apostolic Delegate to South Africa Lied Apostolic Inter. nuncio to India, and he will represent the Holy See among the thinly scattered Catholics or Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Iceland.
Last month Copenhagen-horn Bishop Nelson. of Stockholm, administered the first general Confirmation in the parish of Vlixj(i, Sweden, which is served by Passionists from England. The area the parish covers is so vast that the bishop had to administer the sacrament in three places, at all of which several non-Catholics attended the Mass and Confirmation.
