Bad taste

I would like to express my feelings of joy and pride whenever I see our Holy Father (my compatriot) appearing on His travels to various countries in His role as a Great Shepherd of His flocks. One thing only makes me sad — and it is when I see the CROSIER, which consists of a caricature of Our Lord Crucified on the caricaturised cross.

God has lowered Himself low enough in His great work of our redemption, why then should we lower Christ's image still lower for the sake of some "trendy" artist who made the sculpture.; J Wilkin 36 Burgess Road,
