Bp. Craven to bless

`own street' Catholic Herald Reporter BISHOP CRAVEN. the Vicar Capitular of Westminster, is to bless a street named after himself next Saturday, July 20. The street, Bishop Craven Close, in Enfield, Middlesex, contains the Crusade of Rescue's six new group homes for children. completed last year.
The Enfield project has been made possible by the sale of the Crusade's Feltham property, which, in recent years, was practically at the end of one of London Airway's main runways. The sale and price paid were negotiated by the Lands Tribunal.
Besides the street of houses at Enfield, the Crusade has built a nursery, for its younger children, at its headquarters at Charles Square. W.10. This is to be opened on August 1.
Bishop Craven Close has been adopted by Enfield Borough Council. and the Mayor of Enfield will conduct the opening ceremony at 4 p.m.. before Bishop Craven gives his blessing.
Mr. P. J. Cowie. Secretary of the Crusade of Rescue. told me this week that the name of the Close was a tribute to Bishop Craven's many years as Administrator of the Crusade. "We are very pleased that the Council have adopted the road which we made ourselves," he said.
