Chapel on site of old priory

The Lord Mayor. Sheriff and Chief Constable of the city went to Nazareth House, Nottingham, on Sunday when Bishop Ellis blessed and opened the new £10,000 chapel built in the grounds to serve as a chapel-of-ease to St. Paul's Church, Lcnton.

After girls of Nazareth House had walked in procession from the old chapel within the house to the new chapel, Bishop Ellis gave Benediction and preached.

He remarked that Nazareth House, Old Lenton, stands on part of the site of a pre-Reformation Cluniac priory whose prior and monks were martyred.
