"Beloved" Is Not A Stigma

Keywords:

Sno—We very earnestly beg a small portion of your space for the purpose of correcting a false impression which our recent letters seemed to have caused.

That our letter was intended as a " back answer " to our Parish Priest is false. We three, who owe most of what we have which is worth having to him, would never do any such thing.

The rest of the matter we stand by —and then some!

We have quite a lot to say about the type of mind which sees a sneer in the word " beloved," but 'tis not printable.

Pray excuse this somewhat protracted correspondence, but do publish this letter!

HILARY MACHEN. PHILIP BYRNE. UNA MACHEN.

33, Pembroke Street, Pembroke Dock, South Wales.
