Grant for Passage

THE PASSAGE, the day centre in Westminster where the poor and homeless can find food, warmth and friendship, will soon be able to provide badlyneeded washing and lavatory facilities as well. Help the Aged has given it a grant.

The Administrator of Westminster Cathedral, the Canon Oliver Kelly has been presented with a £6,000 cheque

by Major James Dyson Seddon. representing Help the Aged.

"The Passage" was opened in 1981 by the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent's Convent who for over 100 years have been providing food, clothing and counsel to the needy front their Westminster House and were seeking, with the aid of the Cathedral, to expand their charitable work.
