Killed in Manchester Raid, Fr. Street Wrote this Anti-Nazi Pamphlet

Written by the late Rev. G. A. Street. curate at St. Augustine's. Manchester, who was a victim of the famous Manchester blitz of a few months ago, a 20-page pamphlet entitled " National Socialism and the Catholic Church," is being sold at Is. 8d. per dozen, post free, the profits from sales being handed to the parish priest of St. Augustine's for the benefit of his parish.

The pamphlet is an able analysis of Nazi ideology and its two main planks of the racial theory and the " living space," with comments on the German Government's attitude towards religion, the Catholic Church. youth and the schools.

The late priest's article appeared in several issues of the Salford diocesan organ, The Harvest, during 1940-41, and it is reprinted in pamphlet form in response to requests from his friends.
