CARDINAL SPEAKS TO LUXEMBURG What Your Bishop Would Wish to Convey From Prison

" What your own Bishop would wish to convey to you from prison," Cardinal Hinsley told Luxemburgers was his own message when he broadcast to them from the B.B.C. studios in the European programme on Easter Sunday.

" The Easter message which I am asked to send to the Catholics of Luxemburg is that which I am sure your own Bishop would wish to convey to you from his prison. May the blessing of our Risen Lord, which He gave to His disciples when He appeared to them after His triumph over the death and darkness of Calvary, rest upon all you tjis faithful followers in your country for tfie moment invaded and oppressed: ' Peace be to you The Peace of Christ can neither be given nor taken away by the forces of evil.

"Right must triumph over might. Though the hour is dark the light already dawns. Not far distant is the fall day of deliverance when the life and independence of Luxemburg will be restored and secured. Our strength is in the justice of the cause of Christian freedom."
