More Light for Rome

A new electric generating station is to be opened to alleviate the great shortage of electricity in Rome, The Vatican itself is not affected, thanks to an electric station of its own which was put into working order after a few days. Consequently broadcasts from the Vatican were only curtailed for a short time.

Lighting in the churches is greatly affected as there are no candles or oil, and the attendance suffers as there are no electric trams for transport. Modern organs, too, are electrically worked.
