Fr. Gerald Quirk, chaplain at the Poor Clares' Convent, York, who celebrates the golden jubilee of his priesthood on July 25, has been appointed an honorary Canon of the Middlesbrough Chapter. Canon Quirk has served at Grangetown and Scarborough and was parish priest at Pocklington and at the Sacred Heart Church, Hulland Malton.
