Using the Missal

Sir,—While I agree with Canon Dalby's remarks about the use of missals. I wonder if he realises how difficult it is to keep pace With a priest saying a Mass, a low Mass especially.

The majority of people using a missal are either left miles behind, jump parts of the Mass to keep the pace or read it at a speed which makes concentrating on the text impossible. No wonder then that after a few attempts they do not want to use a Missal.
