The Convent of the Faithful Virgin, Central Hill, Upper Norwood, London, celebrated its centenary last week-end.

It was in June, 1848, when there was a threat of revolution in France. that a party of 18 nuns with their priest, Fr. Basque, left the Mother convent in Normandy and arrived in London,
