Cardinal Tisserant, the new Dean of the Sacred College and Prefect of the Sacred Congregation of the Oriental Church. has been appointed Prefect of the Sacred Ceremonial Congregation.
This Congregation, founded over 400 years ago, regulates the Liturgical and non-liturgical ceremonies at the Vatican and of the Roman Curia, as well as all ceremonies at which Cardinals officiate.
