APRESENTATION to a parish priest in Northumberland last week recalled an unusual story, for the priest, Fr. Leo Hart, of the Sacred Heart parish, Amble, is the son of a priest.
His father, the late Fr. Charles Hart, served for some time at a neighbouring parish; he became a priest at the age of 59, following the death of his wife. For 40 years before that. he had taught at St. Cuthbert's Grammar School, Newcastle.
Last week's presentation to Fr. Leo Hart marked his 25 years as parish priest at Amble. Before being moved there. he had been parish priest at St. Thomas Aquinas', Darlington.
