Nazi victim is choirmaster

Mr. Manfred Wolf, who has been appointed choirmaster at the Birmingham Oratory, was a prisoner at Buchenwald on account of his non-Aryan descent.

He studied music at Dresden and was imprisoned at Buchenwald in the 1938-39 period. He came to England in 1939 and served in the British Forces.

He is now a British citizen and holds a London degree. He has taught music for the Birmingham Education Committee and also for the Society of the Divine Word at St. Richard's College at Hadzor, Droitwich.
