A LEADING Jesuit editor has emphasised that Catholicism must open a dialogue with Marxism. Fr Bartolomeo Sorge, editor of the Jesuit magazine Civilta Cattolica, said in an interview with the news weekly !! Setiimartale: "Dialogue is the only way of placing Marxism in crisis from the inside, provoking discussion of the problems it claims to he able to solve, ascertaining the inadequacy of certain_solutions, showing that a change in the type of government has never truly liberated mankind."
