A message to `C.H.' readers

In a special message to the CA UMW HERALD fur the start of Freedom from Hunger Week, Mgr. L. G. Ligutti, the Holy See's Permanent Observer with F.A.O., writes: It is inspiring to witness the ide interest in the Freedom from Hunger Campaign sponsored by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and adopted by every nation, every social and religious unit in the world.

His Holiness Pius XII said: "Science is the progressive discovery of God". God has not been unjust or ungenerous with man. The possibilities for production of the needs of man are almost Infinite. It is up to us human beings to use properly God's gifts, and above all for us blessed with know-how to help other people help themselves.
