Take time off for a spot of browsing

IF YOU like browsing around old bookshops, I recommend a visit to John Bevan, antiquarian an.d Catholic bookseller, SI Francis, Great Doward, Rosson-Wye, Herefordshire.

He always has over 2000 books in stock, and I have just been reading through his latest catalogue of 681 titles relating to the Catholic Church.

On Sundays you will find him playing the organ in his local church of Our Lady, at Courtfield, Ross-on-Wye; not surprising as his father is Roger Bevan, Director of Music at Downside.

John pictured left went to Downside and then read music at University. A summer vocation job in Wells. bookselling, led him to running his own bookshop

You can order books by telephone, 0600-890878.
