Rhodesia bans priest

FR LAWRENCE LYNCH, an Irish missionary, has been banned from re-entering Rhodesia. Mr O'Kennedy, the Irish Minister for Foreign Affairs is to receive a full report on the ban.

Fr Lynch has already received a three and a half year sentence for failing to report the presence of terrorists in his parish on the RhodesiaMozambique border. lie said he was "completely surprised"

by the ban. • Fr Dominic Scholten, the secretary of the South African Bishops Conference, who was charged in April with being in possession of illegal publications and released on hail, has had his passport returned to him.
