An Anglo-Malayan Daily

On December 9 there appeared the first issue of a new Catholic daily, The Malabar Mail, published at Ernakulam, The date was fittingly chosen, for it was also that of the episcopal silver jubilee of Archbishop Kandathil, of Ernakulana The size of the paper is six sheets. It is bi-lingual Malayan being the principal language with an article in English in each issue. While maintaining the character of a secular paper, it will give to the general public the Christian and Catholic solution of social, religious, economic and political problems. The new paper will circulate in the Native States of Travancore and Cochin, and in part of British Malabar.
