Nottingham Thanksgiving

In thanksgiving to Almighty God for the safe withdrawal from Flanders of the B.E.F. Mgr. J. F. McNulty, Bishop of Nottingham, celebrated a Pontifical High Mass in St. Barnabas' Cathedral, Nottingham, on Tuesday, the Feast of St. Barnabas. The Mass was followed by a Solemn Te Deum. In a letter to his priests His Lordship suggests that on Sunday next special prayers shall be offered in all the churches and chapels of the Nottingham diocese not only for the return of our troops, but also in thanksgiving for the Divine Goodness to " ourselves and our diocese, since we were raised to the episcopate eight years ago."

Bishop F. Henschke was enthroned recently as Bishop of Wagga, N.S.W. The ceremony was performed at St. Michael's Cathedral by the Papal Delegate (the Most Rev. Dr. Panico).
