Orphans

MANY of the children under the care of the Shrewsbury Diocesan Rescue Society will spend Christmas Day with families who have invited them to their homes.

Speaking of Christmas Day plans, Canon H. McHugh, Chaplain of the Society, said: "Those who are capable of going out and who enjoy visiting are invited out".

Younger children will remain in the orphanage, where they will have a visit from Father Christmas in the morning, and will have music and games during the rest of the day.
