" Send Catholic Children to Catholic Schools"

Steady progress was reported at the annual meeting of the Shrewsbury and Menevia province of the Knights of St_ Columba, held recently under the presidency of Provincial Grand Knight Albert Bolton.

Plans for future development were outlined including the furtherance of the policy of providing the means to send Catholic children to Catholic schools. In order to assist this fund a scheme for the sale of flags would be launched shortly.

The officers were re-elected as follows: provincial deputy, Albert Bolton (Hooton), provincial secretary, W. F. Hennelly (Chester), provincial treasurer, Capt. J. WoodsThomson (Colwyn Bay), provincial chancellor, J. J. Prendeville (Colwyn Bay), provincial advocate, John McGreevy (Holywell), provincial warden, T. F. Graham (Chester), provincial chaplain, Very Rev. A. Canon Pozzi (Holywell), and district deputy, F. V. McCormack (Northwick).
