CARDINAL'S 'MEDAL'

CARDINAL GRIFFIN told Knights of Columba at the Westminster province dinner at Greenford on Saturday that after he had presented seven Papal awards at Archbishop's House last week, two small boys came up to him. looked hard at his pectoral cross, and "asked me what I had done to get my medal."

" Whatever I may have done." said His Eminence to the Knights, "has been rendered easier by the loyalty and support of the Catholic laity. . . .

" Really you are the Jacks of all trades, who are masters of many arts. . .

" Development is taking place at the present time on an almost unprecedented scale -the building of schook, the building of new churchee, the establishment of new missions --and for all these things we need the help of our good Catholic laits."
