The author then gives the text of long letters written by Bro. Vincent to Fr. (then Bro.) Raphael Moss, and excerpts from Bro. Vincent's novitiate chronicle.

THESE letters confirm much of what we have already said on the character-formation of Bro. Vincent. And those who knew him in later life must have recognised with a certain fascination and even amusement the first stirrings of the " embryo McNabb."
