O.P., formerly Dean of the theological faculty of the Angelicum, the Dominican university of Rome, to he Master of the Sacred Apostolic Palace— the Pope's Theologian. He succeeds Fr. Michael Browne, the Irish priest who was recently elected Master-General of the Dominicans. Fr. Ciappi. who speaks six languages. also succeeds as Theologian to the Papal Secretariat of State.
