OBITUARY

FR. FRANCIS HEENAN of Howth, Dublin, only surviving brother of Cardinal Heenan, was formerly a parish priest of Brentwood Diocese. He was ordained in 1924 and took a degree in theology at Lille University. He also studied at Cambridge and subsequently took a degree in languages at London University. During the last war he served as a chaplain in France and the Middle East.
Cdr. R. Langton-Jones
Cdr. Ronald Langton-Jones. who was Beachmaster at Gallipoli and was mentioned in both Army and Navy dispatches and awarded the D.S.O.. has died aged 52 at his home near runnel. Argyll. From 1929 to 1949 he was Inspector of the Imperial Lighthouse Service in the Bahamas. and his hook "Silent &minds," pubilehed in 1944, had a foreword by the Duke of Windsor. Cdr. LangtonJones, who was educated at Stonyhurst, was made Knight Commander of St. Gregory the Great in 1949.
Mr. J. Milton Mr. John Milton, Housemaster. Bishop Thomas Grant Grammar School. Streatham, died of a heart attack last weekend while on holiday with a pany of buys from the school in Austria. Aged 54, Mr. Milton. who taught engineering. was not only an outstanding teacher but a man of charming personality that was popular among staff and pupils.
Very Rev. E. Coughlan
The Very Rem. Edward Coughlan. V.E., of St. Peter's, Stalybridge. Cheshire, died last week. aged 57. He was Religious Examiner for the Diocese and from 1946 to 1955 was the Diocesan Scout Chaplain. He• was made a dean in 1963 (St. Anscint's Deanery).
