Fr John Orme Mills introduces the Herald 2000 project
FOR THE NEXT 98 weeks up to theMillennium I am to be your host.
A Dominican priest living in north London and long involved in journalism, I have been asked to co-ordinate the Herald 2000 project. This began in the Herald last week when I explained what it is all about.
It's really very simple. We believe that most people in this country, if asked what is really being celebrated in the year 2000, would not recognise that the Millennium is concerned with commemorating the coming of Christ into the world.
The project aims to find ways to make that connection for lots of people.
You are invited to suggest what some of those ways might be. Simply "brainstorm" me with ideas.
I look forward to reading all your suggestions however imaginative or mundane they are, and however costly and complex or simple and cheap their implementation might be.
Look out for a Herald 2000 column on any of the pages in future issues of the Catholic Herald.
