BY 13Ess TWIsTOS DAVIES Two BRITISH peers flew to Rome last week to put pressure on the Vatican to open its war-time archives.
Lords Hunt and Janner want to investigate alleged links between the Church and Nazi war crintinals at the end of World War H.
Lord Janner told BBC Radio 4's To day programme that the Vatican could not remain the only international institution to refuse to open up its wartime archives.
"But we have a huge respect for the Catholic Church," he added.
