Island becomes novitiate

Enders Island, a highly developed private island at Mystic. Connecticut. has been given to the Fathers of St. Edmund to be used as a novitiate.

The Fathers of St. Edmund were founded at Pontigny — primarily to provide Mass in priestless areas in France—but they are strongest now in the United States.

They have one parish in England —at Whitton, Middlesex.

The island novitiate will replace St. Joseph's Novitiate at Putney. Vermont. Their English parish is a 20-minute train journey from Putney, London.
