For King Leopold On the occasion of the saint's day

of the King of the Belgians a Te Deum will be sung at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 15, in the Belgian .Church of Our Lady of Hal, 165, Arlington Street, Camden Town. The ceremony will be attended by the members of the Belgian Government in London, the Diplomatic Corps accredited thereto, and the Belgian military and civil authorities.
Councillor W. E. Cawley, who was installed Mayor of Sutton Coldfield on Tuesday. first Catholic to hold the office in the royal borough since the Reforma(ion, said at the luncheon : " In local government we must devise ways and means to induce youth to give us a hand. Let us find young men and women with imagination and ability to build, and having found them, older men should give them support."
The first Oxford Circle of the Catenian Association has been formed; its president is Mr. P. E. Hedges and vice-president Professor J. R. R. Tolkien. The Hon. Francis A. Pakenham will be its Provincial Councillor. Members include several University men, a novelist, four civil servants. three medical men and five serving officers in H.M. Forces.
The staff and students of the Salesian Coll*, Farnborough, paid a farewell tribute to the Very Rev. Michael J. Burke, S.C., who for the past fifteen years has held office as Prefect and Bursar. He was previously on hhe teaching staff of the College. Fr. Burke has,now been appointed Superior at Moseley Hall, Knutsford, Cheshire, where he will have charge of the evacuees from the Channel Islands.
