A COULSDON mother of five, (pictured here) who lives in Chipstead Valley Road has been awarded the Papal Cross "Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice" for her work over many years in the Diocese of Southwark.
The presentation, was made to Mrs Moyna Hallett by Archbishop Michael Bowen of Southwark, at the end of the service to consecrate St Aiden's Church.
The Archbishop spoke of Mrs Hallett's "great work for the church", which included the Deanery Pastoral Council, the Diocesan Laity Commission of which she is now Chairman.
He praised, too, her work with young people; and her work over 25 years for the Catholic Marriage Advisory Council.
