PEACE IN SOUTH AMERICA Pope's Joy at Signing of Treaty

The Argentine Minister of Foreign Affairs, M. Jose Cantina), has sent to the Pope's Secretary of State, Cardinal Pacelli, an official intimation of the peace treaty signed between Bolivia and Paraguay.

Cardinal Pacelli has replied relating the Pope's joy that the war belay= these two countries has been happily ended.

The Church has, it is known, been instrumental in the effecting of an armistice, and the signing of the peace treaty between Bolivia and Paraguay.
