LABOUR MI' Jim Dobbin has been appointed a Knight of the Order of St Gregory the Great.
The Catholic MP for Heywood and Middleton and chairman of the All-Party Parliamentary Pm-Life Group received the award from Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O'Connor and the papal nuncio Archbishop Faustino Sainz Muiioz at the end of last month. He was described by the cardinal as "a staunch advocate of the dignity of all human life".
