Millions of Koreans are starving, according to a report by Mgr. George M. Carrot, representative of the National Catholic Welfare Conference in Korea.
As an indication of the widespread need, Mgr. Carrot quoted the experience of the Maryknoll Sisters' clinic at Pusan, where 75 per cent. of the patients reporting are found to be undernourished. The clinic treats 50,000 persons a month.
There are, be said, 5,000,000 refugees in South Korea alone. with no money or stamina to fall hack on.
