THE OBE has been awarded to Gerard Turnbull, former Lord

Mayor of Cardiff, living in retirement at Caldy Island. Ile is a member of one of the hest known Catholic families in South Wales, and was Lord Mayor of his home city in 1973. An ORE has also been awarded to J. J. McCarthy, who until recently was rector of Trinity Catholic High School in Renfrew. Honours have also been conferred on active officers in the Royal Air Force. The CBE goes to Air Commodore C. A. Grennan, and Croup Captain J. F. Woodward. The MBE has been awarded to Warrant Officer P. Brennan, and the BEM to Sgt J. Craig. Associate of the Catholic Evidence Board, and member of the editorial Board of the Catholic Worker, Jeremiah O'Sullir an, has been awarded the MBE for 25 years' service to the Scottish Gas Consumers Council.
