OBITUARY

Fr. Henry Wilcock, S.J.

Fr, Henry Wilcock. S.J., brother of FrFrederick Wilcock, Si., of the Russian Mission, died on Thursday last week in Salisbury, Southern Rhodesia.

Born in Blackburn in 1904 and educated at Stonyburst and at Mount St. Mary's College. he joined the Society of Jesus in 1922 and was ordained in 1936.

He went to South Africa in 1939 and for the next 10 years was a master at St. George's College, Salisbury. Since 1949 he has been on the cathedral staff in Salisbury.

Last May he came hack to England on holiday. Shortly after his return to Salisbury his health declined and about the middle of November he became seriously ill in an outlying mission.
