ONE FELT very hu;nble and yet, as a citizen of York, very proud to be present at that great moment in the Minster's history when for the first time since the Reformation, a British prelate (Cardinal Hume) took a prominent part together with the Archbishop of York in the service commemorating St Margaret Clitherow and the Act of Reconciliation.
Readers holidaying in York may like to know that Mass is celebrated at 10am every Saturday at St Margaret Clitherow's house in the Shambles and all are welcome. During this year whenever allowed, the Saturday Mass will be a Votive Mass in her honour.
