'T'OM DANAHER, interI. viewed by the B.B.C. on television after his recent solo flight across the Atlantic in a single engine plane, has now been taken to see the Holy Father by Bishop McCarty of Rapid City.
Bishop McCarty said afterwards that he was delighted to have Danaher as his guest at the Papal audience after hearing how the Catholic Texan prayed the Rosary every hour during the flight.
Danaher said that when he began the flight he promised Our Lady a Rosary every hour if she would keep that single engine running.
He took off at 1.22 and began the Rosary at 22 minutes past each hour.
