SIR,-The holiday experience of my wife and I may be of interest and assistance to many of your readers.
Early in the year we joined the Catholic Holiday Guild and booked for two weeks at "St. Garnian," Carrog, North Wales. Our only regret is that we did not do so on previous holidays. The cheerful attention of the manager and his wife, even during long spells of adverse weather conditions, will always be remembered by everyone with whom we came in contact.
The "atmosphere" in the house was so friendly and Catholic without being (I hate the word) sanctimonious.
We were of the party that climbed Snowdon for the first Mass to be held on the summit in honour of Our Lady of the Snows. and also visited the Church of Our Lady of Fatima at Bala.
To conclude. I would urge your readers to enrol as members of the guild, arid, in so doing, help to bring more and bigger houses where Catholics can spend their holidays where everyone has that something in common.
