Credo

I believe in one God, the almighty Father, maker of heaven and earth and all things visible and invisible.lo

I believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only-begotten" Son of God. born of the Father before time began12; God from God, light from light, true God from true God; begotten, not made, one in substanee13 with the Father; and through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven, and by the power of the Holy Spirit he took flesh of the virgin14 Mary; and became a man.

He was also crucified for us under Pontius Pilate, he suffered and was buried.13 On the third day he rose from the dead as the Scriptures had foretold. He ascended"' into heaven where he sits at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his reign will have no end. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds17 from the Father and the Son.

Together with the Father and the Son he is adored and glorified; He it was who spoke through the prophets. I believe in one, holy, Catholic and apostolic church.

I acknowledge one baptism18 for the forgiveness of sin, and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.

Sanctus

Holy, holy, holy Lord, mighty God. Your glory fills all heaven and earth. Hosanna in the highest i9 Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.

End of Canon

Calling to mind our Saviour's teachings, we take heart and say this prayer we have learnt from God himself20:

Agnus Dei

Lamb of God, who take away the sins21 of the world, have mercy on us. Lamb of God, who take away the sins of the world, grant us peace. Lamb of God, who take away the sins of the world, grant them rest for ever.

Dismissal

The Mass is ended: Let us go forth in peace. Giving thanks to God. Almighty God bless you, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen22.
