From Our German Correspondent.
Baldur von Schirach, Hitler-Youth leader and prominent Pagan, has just issued a special number of Wille und Macht entitled Wheresta.n.ds the youth of Europe! In ita references to Great Britain, running from page 62 to page 74, it states that the German youth movement cannot entertain friendly relations with the British Scout movement. It charges the Boy Scout movement with being corrupt and adds that vice is widely spread among the scouts. Of that vice the writer says that Germany has had to fight hard against it. The Boy Scouts' International Bureau in London and the whole international Boy Scouts' movement are described as instruments of British imperialism and British world domination. The fact that Lord Baden-Powell is still actively working in the movement is interpreted as an indication that scouting has no younger leaders. These disgraceful and utterly unsubstantiated charges would affect among others the many thousands of Catholic men and boys who are numbered in the Scout movement. Concerning France we hear that the Catholic youth organisations are working best of all and that Catholic Influence is steadily growing in the younger generation of that country.
