Bishop Casey of Brentwood this week consecrated the church of Our Lady of Good Counsel at Wickford, Essex, and presided at a concelebrated Mass attended by more than 300 parishioners.
The present church was built four years ago but this year is the golden jubilee of the parish. A bequest of more than £3,000 from Mrs Madaline Young, a former parishioner or Our Lady of Good Counsel made it possible to clear the debt on the church building,
