Sunday April 12, Morning Has Broken, Radio 4 6.32 am.

Good Morning Sunday, Radio 2 7.30am. Roger Royle talks to Kathy Staff, known to millions of TV viewers as Nora Batty, in Last of the Summer Wine. She talks about her faith, her singing in the local church choir and her views on abortion.

Sunday, Radio 4 7.40 am .(LW). Religious weekly news 'programme.

Palm Sunday Service; 1313C 19.15 am. The final Lenten ecumenical service from St John's, Taunton is in the form of a Holy Communion in the tradition of the United Reformed Church. Margaret Collingwood presents the programme; the Rev George Carey is the preacher and the service is led by the Rev Michael Hubbard.

Morning Service, Radio 4 9.30 am. The service comes from Epsom Methodist Church. The Rev Dr Donald English is the preacher.

Morning Worship, ITV 11 am. The Way of the Kingdom entering The Kingdom. The Abbot of Ampleforth, Dom Patrick Barry, is the speaker in this Palm Sunday service from St Mary's Parish Church, Whitkirk, Leeds, Canon David Ford leads the worship.

A Dying Order, ITV 2 pm. The second of the two part documentary about the Sisters of St Denys Convent. The life of the 16 sisters is centred around Warminster. In addition to their life and prayer the nuns are busy visiting the community outside and running retreats.

The Jesuits: Defenders Of The Faith, Radio 3 5.30 pm. In the final programme of the series, presenter Lord Rawlinson considers the state of the Society of Jesus as the largest and perhaps the most radical of the Catholic orders.

Highway ITV 6.40 pm. Harry Secombe presents the 150th programme from Donaghadee in Co Down, Northern Ireland. He talks to members of the Donaghadee lifeboat crew and visits Ballywalter Park.

Songs Of Praise, BBC1 6.40 pm. For the first time in over 15 years, Songs of Praise is given a live presentation. Sally Magnusson is the presentor from the Spring Harvest Festival in Skegness, where young people gather together to celebrate their faith.

Passover Talk, Radio 4 8.15 pm. Trevor Barnes interviews the Chief Rabbi, Sir Immanuel Jakobovitz.

Sunday Half Hour, Radio 2 8.30 pm. From Falmouth Methodist Church in Cornwall.1 Hymns include When I survey the Wondrous Cross and Children of Jerusalem.

Lent Talks Radio 4 8.45 pm. The Rev Richard Harries' final Lent talk. Heart Of The Matter, BBC1 10.10pm. Helena Kennedy will examine major news stories of the week.

Seeds Of Faith, Radio 4 11 pm. The Rev Stanley Brinkman's final talk is subtitled Palm Sunday the Arrival.

Monday April 13, Pause For Thought, Radio 2 6.45 am. A series of special reports from the Holy Land by Frank Topping. They will be broadcast during Ray Moore's early show every day this week.

Monday Thursday Holy Week Talks 10.30. This year's Holy Week Talks will be given by John Harriott, who puts the cross on "trial". He argues that if Christ's death and the symbol of the cross are to continue to be taken as a key to life's meaning, we must ask awkward questions arising out of the bitterest experiences of our own age.

Monday Thursday The Gospel According to St Luke, 10.50 Bernard Hill is filmed on location in Israel giving his rendition of St Luke's Gospel. The ten minute programmes will be shown twice daily on BBC1. The music accompanying the programmes has been specially composed by Richard Blackford and is performed by members of the London Chamber Orchestra.

Incident At The Devil's Gate, Radio 4 8.15 pm. Play by Bruce Stewart based on the life of Oscar Romero the Archbishop of San Salvador, assasinated whilst celebrating Mass in 1980.

Thursday April 16, Jesus An Investigation, 7.40 pm. Trevor Barnes asks some of Britain's most distinguished biblical scholars what we know about Jesus and invites listeners to put their questions to studio guests, Dr Alister McGrath and Professor Morna Hooker. Good Friday April 17.

Derek Jameson, 9.10 Radio 2 marks the Good Friday with a discussion on the contemporary significance of Easter.

Good Friday Liturgy, 10 am. A service of readings and music from Gloucester Cathedral.

Good Friday Service, BBC1 11 am. The Way of the Cross is the theme for this special service for Good Friday from the Cathedral and Abbey Church of St Alban's.

England's Nazareth, BBC2. Documentary on the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham.
