Maltese send £1,500 for flood victims

Archbishop Godfrey, Apostolic Delegate, has received from Mgr. Gonzi, Archbishop and Metropolitan of Malta, £1,500 for the relief of flood victims.

Following the Pope's personal gift of f1,000 to the Lord Mayor's Fund, the Apostolic Delegate has sent a further cheque for £1,000 as the contribution of Malta.

In addition, Bishop Pace of Gozo, Malta's sister island, has sent to the Apostolic Delegate £220 for the same purpose.

The Bishop of the Forces in the U.S.A., Mgr. Griffiths sent a cheque for $134.17 for the same purpose toArchbishop Godfrey on behalf of the 37th Infantry Division at Camp Polk, Louisiana.
